Diy video hardware projects

this is a wiki post. feel free to add to it.

LZX Cadets

basic building blocked for a (lzx) analog video synthesiser system (eg sync gen, cvbs input, rgb encoding, oscillators, keyers, mixers )

LZX Castles

eurorack modules based around CMOS logic chips, inspired by early digital hardware video synths (eg adc, dac, shift register, clock, flipflop, counter)

3trinsrgb+1c

standalone analog composite video synthesizer - includes oscillators on red, green, blue, video input and an internal patchbay

oscillatoscope2

Converts cv and audio into vga video

CHAV/S

a Cheap and Hacky Audio Video Synth for VGA - based around a vga-signal-tester for generating sync and 40106 Schmitt-Trigger Inverter Oscillators.

Fluxus diy

a standalone composite video circuit-bent /gitch FX processor

AVEMOD

a standalone composite video glitch device, inspired by circuit bent Archer Video Enhancers

TRQ

a modified composite video color inverter with cv/audio reactive wipes and intensity control.

OGA

visual pattern generator, using a series of oscillators to create harmonically related signals for display on oscilloscope

VIDIFFEKTOR (FROM FLUXMONKEY.COM)

a glitchy, lo-fi distortion effect for analog video signals. It was originally designed by James Schidlowsky via postings to Electro-Music.com; and was recently revived by Javier Plano (@Videonic) who designed and published a PCB design which you can freely download.
