Recurboy Display not working

Hey… @cyberboy666 do you remember me saying I had a similar issue (just white screen) with my r_e_c_u_r_b_o_y ? I wonder if it’s the same thing… I’m gonna dig it out when I get back home at the weekend…

@BRock - was this problem resolved for you or still the case ? im guessing you might have pcb version v0_6 or eariler… so it could also be the known issue with some of these screens where the data_pin needed to be connected externally for it to be reliable. the newer revision makes this trace bolder and this solves it for all the (10-20x) screens i tested it with

I just received my prebuilt model and am also having the white display issue.

Composite out working just fine but flying blind.

Bumping for good measure.

@colorbard - you mean pre-built through underscores.shop ? Everything i send out pre-built is tested throughly by me first. Which implies something must have happened to it during shipping - and i will need to see that unit - Can you please email me about this ( tim@cyberboy666.com )and we can sort out a return ?

i am having this exact problem. i’ve built 5+ recurboys never an issue. now this latest one the display simply doesn’t move onto the snow and eventual menu. it just stays white. can anyone with this problem previously help me? i have tried different SD cards, different PIs, desoldered and tried different screens, changed the IC, nothing. Anyone have anythoughts?? @korb ??

Hi! If I ping “raspberrypi.local” it responds but when I try to connect via ssh to the address “pi@raspberrypi.local” it responds:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

The ECDSA host key for raspberrypi.local has changed,
and the key for the corresponding IP address fe80::3213:6eb:9c70:4220%en5
is unknown. This could either mean that
DNS SPOOFING is happening or the IP address for the host
and its host key have changed at the same time.

It is also possible that a host key has just been changed.

Add correct host key in /Users/macmini/.ssh/known_hosts

please can you verify if you have changed something?

…actually: you changed something…

…your PI (which you most probably re-installed freshly) is recognised by your Mac Mini as it is stored in your ‚known-hosts‘ file…

…you can solve the problem by opening the

/Users/macmini/.ssh/known_hosts

file in a text-editor and delete the (one, two or three) lines containing the SSH-key related to your PI; thereafter you will get a prompt when you SSH from your Mac Mini to the PI asking if you want to store the (new) SSH-key…
