Cv/gate/midi to ATem?

I was really surprised to see the video mixer hack in the forum.

I started to check out the ATem Video Mixer SDK and wondered: Can I build a cv/Gate to AtemApi mapping in form of a eurorack module. That could easily open digital 1080 land and make use of the atem for all the stuff it can offer via api.

Stuff that would be cool:

  • switching scenes based on a ā€˜cvā€™ index.
  • switching scenes gate by gate
  • change values for chroma and other keys
  • change masks
  • general masking shenennigans

Thing is: Looking at the late 90ies videomixer we were using in clubs, the featureset of a mid level atem reads comparable, just in 1080p with horrible UI. Used as a automation platform ā€¦

Maybe this is a place to get some input for a good starter or generally mew ideas.
