Doubt about VLC configuration

Hey, how are you? hope you doing good. I hope you can help me.

I want to playback a video in my vlc and send the output through hdmi + downscaler(hdmi - rca) to process the video with my analog gear. But i cannot find the way to configure the output of vlc to go through the hdmi where the downscaler is connected.

Do you have any ideas how can i achieve this?

this is not something you would configure in VLC but in your operating system to the best of my knowledge.

here is how i do it:

  • treat hdmi as a second monitor display
  • drag VLC window over to the hdmi “monitor”
  • hit fullscreen!
