Favorite Crt Size?

I was just wondering what everyones favorite crt size is to glitch

The ones I can get.

But seriously, it really comes down to how you are using them. If you’re using a camera to film your CRT, there are some important things to keep in mind.

If the CRT is tiny (like 5"), you’ll have to zoom in so close to fill the view of the camera that you may start to see the individual pixels in the recording. This can actually be used to your advantage if that’s what you’re going for. It can be used as a cool effect if done intentionally. But if not, you might not be happy with the output.

If the CRT is too big (like the late 90’s monster tube TVs, 40"+), you’re more likely to have to distance your camera farther away from the CRT. This could be a problem if you don’t have a lot of space. Also, those huge tubes often have really bad corners where the image starts to be stretched/distorted/blurry/curved/etc. Again, if that’s the effect you’re going for, you do you. Personally, I try to keep the distortion of my actual recording to a minimum, but everyone has their own style.
