hey there, forgive me if this belongs in the technical questions/help category but I’ve been struggling to get my GW back online after a little bit of user error resulted in me wiping the working image off of the sd card. after using balena to reflash the sd with the current release of GW, the Jetson Nano just boots to the NVIDA logo splash screen where it flashes once before the logo persists until the kit is turned off. this happens with multiple cards so I figured it was the board itself needing something, I’ve reread the manual so many times and unfortunately I feel I’m missing something simple but crucial; do I need to reinstall Jetpack 4.6? am I flashing the card incorrectly? the instructions imply simply flashing the image and inserting the card like VSERPI but I seem to recall doing more but I cannot remember or find the info for the life of me. love this thing, can’t wait to use it again. thanks for reading!
if nothing shows up after the initial NVIDIA logo, that most likely means that there is no recogizable image on the SD card or the SD card is not seated correctly
(to test, power on without sd card. does the same thing happen?)
getting the card in and out on these can be a little futzy, this would be number one thing to check, esp if this is the first time you’ve reseated a card in this unit. double check inside the box too that the sd card extender is also seated correctly (assuming yr using the same style case as in the ones i’ve sold)
then just try a new sd card next (making sure to use a recommended model). triple check that your download of the image worked fine and that the imaging process worked (there should be like 20 something seperate partitions on the card)
99 percent certainity that the issue is purely in sd card/imaging process, if there was any more serious hardware issues i doubt you’d see the NVIDIA screen.
you don’t need to fuck with any NVDIA/jetpac/linux4tegra stuff to run/write a VSEJET image.
