Hi guys lurking for a while decided I’d finally just join and stop being shy
I’ll make an introductory post once I’ve set up this account
I currently make glitch art, using a mad mix of vcr/vcd and dvd players. Into a videonics mixer and dirty signal mixers . The final output is a Panasonic dvdr recorder that is then captured by a haupage hdpvr
This allows me to create many hodgepodge mixes straight to dvd , then out that dvd in a player at the front of the line and layer DVDs up to four or five times over each other to create just chaos I have a small binder full of these mixes I’ve made and then I mix them over each other in a live DJ setting to my own music
Doing it this way means I really don’t get to edit I just record and do it live . I want to incorporate some sort of editing to help create better flow , add titles and now playing messages maybe some scrollers .
I have a older power Mac g5 around that I was wondering it using for editing could be beneficial
Sure I could use davinci on a modern computer but in my head there’s got to be a way to get some benefit out of messing with rendering to cause corruption or maybe fucking was plug-ins
I know back in the old iMovie day there was glitched effects that could really mess your files up
I’m currently looking on the website for Maybe old iMovie tricks or any way to overload the rendering but I thought I’d post here and ask if anyone else has any experience or any cool software they could recommenD for this scenario of specifically wanting to use a power Mac g5
