Old RCA TV converter

Hello there everyone! I recently got an old RCA TV and thought it’d be perfect for hooking up my setup but it only has a coaxial input it looks like. I’ve never had to use one of these since my old TV had composite input. I just wanted to know how I could convert my composite to rca, I found this on Amazon but I figured I’d ask here before I buy something I don’t need. Thank you for your time!!

This will indeed convert the composite (what they call AV on the box) into an RF signal for the TV.

That is the most elaborate-looking RF modulator I’ve ever seen.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m guessing that instead of the usual Channel 3/4 options, it looks like you can dial in any channel.

Hey there, I’ve actually bought one of these about three years ago thinking it looked decent enough and it broke down in about two weeks, so I personally wouldn’t recommend it… I’ve had decent results since then with one of these, but make sure you use a mixer or a tbc before it as the signal can drop out. Hope this could help!

Thank you for the recommendation I appreciate it! I already did order the one in the picture so if it breaks down quick like you said I’ll order the one you recommended. I can’t thank everyone enough for the quick responses!!!

the channel they selected on that lcd is “69”

Little update got the converter and it didn’t work Lmao. I couldn’t get it to produce any image on the actual TV, I’m fairly certain the TV is in working condition, the source I bought it from let me test it. I tried multiple cables with the converter and still no image. So I’m going to return it and buy the one you recommended, once again thank you everyone for your help!!!

there is a nice footnote here in the video description on an obscure advantage to using RF with video feedback
