Does anyone know how to alter overscan settings for the composite out in r_e_c_u_r? I’ve tried adjusting the standard config.txt overscan settings but that seems to only apply when i’m using dev mode or use a keyboard to enter the desktop
Anyone know what I’m supposed to be editing for the actual output’s settings?
@cyberboy666 sorry to be a pain but any chance you could help me figure this one out when you have a moment? tried a bunch of stuff this evening but no luck… its the last little kink to iron out in my new setup so i’m desperate!
can you describe what you are seeing and what you want to be seeing ?
If overscan settings in config.txt seem to be applied when recur is not running but dont when it is then maybe it is something in the openframeworks code since that is drawing the recur video output (assuming you are using thw openframeworks backend) maybe its worth switching to omxplayer backend to see if issue remains (ruling of being the issue)
trying to use overscan to add a small border on the left side of the output, leaving the output off centre.
changes to overscan settings never effect the actual output whether I am using composite or hdmi, but composite is what i’m trying for. i’m essentially trying to get the recur output to play nicely with a wonky equipment setup.
tried each of the video player backends with no changes, omxplayer still seems to ignore the overscan values. i also noticed that the overscan is working on the boot screen too… what a tease
