Hello. I’m new here and would like to know… if they have tried to access the PeerTube app. I can’t, do you know why or how to do it?
Hi there! Just need to download the app and then:
- Click on the “platforms” button down right of the screen.
- On the next screen click on the (+) button.
- A screen with reccomended instances will appear.
- Click on the upper right (+) button.
- On the next screen write up the url of the instance you want to add. in our case https://videos.scanlines.xyz
It doesn’t work to me.
I don’t know why.
When I try to put my email says this : “client error”
i got as far as seeing the scanlines instance. but also can not log in.
our peertube uses SSO to redirect users to login with their scanlines account on this site. however it seems like the app does not support this auth flow at this stage. i didnt find any issue already mentioning this (or the android app repo for that matter) but i would say its not possible until they implement it…
Hi there! Sorry but I use it with a local account on my phone. No need of email. I’m using version 0.5.6+18 and it doesn’t even have a login area. The local account possibility seems nice for people with no peertube accounts.

yupp thats same as i saw - got it working with a local account also - this should be enough for viewing content there… if you want to upload to your scanlines account will just need to do it in the browser id say
