Replacement recur screen

I was using my recur yesterday and when I pulled the power lead out of the pi the screen on it flashed white, followed swiftly by my face as I got that “uh-oh” feeling.

Plugged the power back in and it’s now just showing a white screen on the pi and the boot sequence gets stuck after the splash screen with just a flashing underscore on the output.

Sad times! RIP cheap TFT screen, you did good.

I’m assuming the screen has failed for some reason and need to source a new one - does anybody know which ones are recommended? The one listed on GitHub parts list is no longer available.

reflash the SD card, it will probably come back online. don’t think it’s the screen.

if you are needing to replace the screen the link in original build docs takes you to WAVESHARE 3.5inch RPi LCD (A), 480x320 which is still in stock and available to buy directly from them

otherwise if you are looking on aliexpress the listings do often expire but you can search for similar ones there - the one i used says 3.5 inch RPi LCD V3.0 on back:
