Shaders work, but the list isn't visible on screen

Hi,

I loaded the extra shaders linked on this forum into my recurboy, and I am now unable to see the file names on the shader menu. I can click through them and they run, but I am doing it blind. Is there a way to fix this? I tried shortening the names of all the shader files, but that didn’t do anything.

Also pretty new to linux in general, so if anyone would be willing to help me flash a new sd card or guide me through the process that would be awesome.

Thank you

Hi @nodnodnod! I use i_n_c_u_r with this system image which has the shaders included and it works wonderfully.
https://s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com/underscores-storage/recur2_0_2.img.gz

Here you will find a later version (2_1_0) which didn’t work well for me:

To flash the image you can use in linux the “Disks” application and follow the indication of the image linked below. If you don’t have it installed you can install it through the application manager of your linux distribution.

  • On the left select the SD card.
  • On the three points button first click on “Format disc”.
  • After format, click on “Restore disc image”.
  • On the next dialog select the “recur2_0_2.img.gz” file and hit restore.

That shoud do it.

this sounds like you may be experiencing this bug - i just put out a new version of the firmware which you can find here which fixes this and adds some new features.

theres also some info about flashing sd cards in the recurBOY FAQ here - let me know how it goes / if i can assist further

Ooops! I assumed r_e_c_u_r and recurBOY used the same firmware but I think I was wrong… sorry for my silly answer then :innocent:

was still useful info how to flash an image as OP asked!
