Trying to trouble shoot an issue with my Sony XV-c900 colour corrector

About a month ago this thing was working perfectly, and after using it in a video installation (may have gotten banged around a bit), i started to notice this constant scrolling effect, that becomes exaggerated when I use it in a feedback loop. Anyone know what could be causing this? Praying i don’t have to recap the whole thing.

This thing is amazing, and I have become kind of dependant on it for my video art. Nothing else i have compares to the nuanced control of colour it allows for in analog feedback loops.

I just finished repairing an xv-c700 they basically all need recapping at this point. I know recapping is annoying repair suggestion but it really is the case. I was having similar issues to you plus worse. I essentially replaced the electrolytic caps, replaced some of the trim pots and cleaned the others, I also had to replace some CMOS that controlled the fade shape.

You can try to see if you can compensate for this error you are getting by adjusting a trimmer but it will only buy u time
