Using magnets to disturb LEDs?

do modern LED monitors/screens react to magnetic fields? might it alter the image in any way similar to old CRTs? could it damage or destroy the electronics inside if the magnet is too strong?

i’m thinking about doing some experiments but i’m unsure if it’s worth the time and effort.

BTW where do you buy good strong magnets? thanks!!

No, magnets will not disturb anything but CRT displays.

that’s sad! but will LEDs be disturbed over the air by some other force?

Lightning?

…final disturbance…

Unfortunately no. LCDs will not be affected by strong magnets due to the fact that the technology used to draw the image is no longer a cathode ray gun scanning from left to right and top to bottom controlled by electro magnetic yokes.

I’ve often wondered how to achieve this effect myself and I suspect the answer is “use a television and a magnet”
