OK, well on a quirk based on an error message I got via Camo Studio (about another app locking the resolution & fps of OBS when selected in Camo), I went back to OBS and adjusted its video settings (also used by its virtual camera). I switched from 1280x720 - my normal mode to a full 1920x1080 on both parameters (which includes Output Scaling). Guess what? Waaave-pool liked it as a camera input at either 30 or 60 fps. (This is without Camo in the loop…) So, yes, it seems as long as the output of OBS is set to 1920x1080, it does work as expected. For my set up. Try it and let me know your results. If it works, obviously no need for you to buy Camo Studio.
BTW: I took a chance and updated my OBS to the latest 31.1.2 and logged out / back in (to get the virtual camera stuff working in OBS - this is standard procedure…) – and so after verifying my rez was 1920x1080, checked out Waaave-pool once again – and yes, it still works with the latest release of OBS. Yay?
I also just tested 1280x720 OBS Virtual Camera to WP on mac, and it just worked. I never installed Camo. I will note however that maybe the aspect ratio is being stretched weird. Or rather the entirety of the canvas is not being shown.
M1 Mac - 15.4.1
OBS 31.1.1
WP-DSk 1.0
Color Format: BGRA (8-bit)
Color Space: Rec. 709
Resolution Match: Common
FPS: 30
glad you got it to functio! odd how we’re able to get OBS VC to operate but only at different resolutions.
