we are doing a giveaway with this stream too for those that join us based on the same d100 table as last time
I’ll make sure to bring the d100 this time though

We’ll be making live visuals as Pixelflowers later today, from 8.00PM to 12PM CEST, over house-acid-techno music. We’ve been doing this every Wednesday and Friday since March.
URL (active after 7.55PM CEST): live.autistici.org (that’s an independent/grassroot/noprofit/militant server)
(pitch?): LZX Vidiot meets Resolume, independent queer porn meets analog glitches
how we do this: my partner loops/processes selected video footage (it’s often queer porn), I process it further with a BPMC Premium Cable, a Vidiot and a Syntonie AVE MOD V2 / add video feedback & audio interferences on top of it / mix it with a good ol’ WJ-AVE5 and send it to OBS through a 15-bucks USB capture card. Since our internet sucks To keep it real, we stream at 700 kbps.
(we haven’t been much active in this community yet but we feel very close!)

@pixelflowers it seems that calendar posts were being deleted 1 hour after ‘expiration’ -> maybe it somehow got confused by your end time or some other reason.
changed in the settings to only delete 48hours after and also tried adding an end time to ur event

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 7:00 PM Pixelflowers x Daddies On Acid
Still doing live Space/psyche/synth + video streams with Trent Hawkins every Tuesday (including today!) at 2:30 PM EST/ 8:30 PM CET
On Youtube for now while we work out the details, but we’ll probably be moving it to Twitch after the remote video feed from Paris gets set up and some other stuff gets worked out more.

You may have noticed the calendar is currently full of Pixelflowers events (also in the following months)…this is because we recently started using the “recurring event” option (our events take regularly place same days / same hour every week).
It doesn’t look too nice, makes me feel a bit spammy…or maybe I’m just overthinking this.
Opinions?

my thoughts are that it is fine, and not spammy. didnt know there was a recurring event option. maybe if more people know about this it will fill up with other recurring events too.
and thnx for using the calendar ! i think it is a good idea - maybe it could be improved in some way to make it easier to use / more visible

OK-thanks!
I only recently noticed this option. I’m not even sure it was there from the beginning. I just looked on the Discourse forum but I couldn’t find any proper documentation about it, it’s just mentioned in some replies here and there. In general, it looks like this plugin is currently under active development.
If you think it helps, you could integrate the instructions in your first post with the following, or a variation on it:
-> some details on how to use it [here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-calendar/97376), or in short:
* reply to this topic
* in the reply form, click the "Insert Date/Time" button
* insert begin/end date & time for your event
* tip: to set the time, set the date first; then click the black clock icon
* tip: a "recurring event" option and other timezone-related options are available under "Advanced Mode"```

switching to Twitch at least for this week if not permanently, because during a test stream tonight Youtube contend ID identified our improvised synth noodling and video feedback as copyright material and blocked me from streaming for a week, because Youtube is consistently awful. Not that Twitch is much better, but at least it’s a bit less likely to do that.
URL is updated.

just a reminder that the scanlines streaming server is also open to community use, you can share / view the results at stream.scanlines.xyz ,
we might not have all the features / discoverability of youtube&twitch but also wont ban you for synth noodles

that’s good to know, actually, I kind of assumed that we wanted to reserve the bandwidth more for community organized events than for regular streams. I’ve been thinking of doing sort of live deconstruction of some TBD well known movie at some point, whenever that happens I’ll definitely do it here.
sounds good !
yah if it comes to that, one day we might want to prioritise community stuff like you say. but atleast rn the machines are running pretty idle and bandwidth is piling up. so anyone who wants to use it is welcome

Just a heads up that I changed the name of my current music project and its attached channels to Lagoon City, and updated the calendar accordingly.

The online-only duo has a prerecorded performance on May 11:
Basically the same as our livestreams, except upscaled to glorious 1080p.
